Pour Over Us

Blue and White pout over by Hannah Palma

POUR OVER us oh warmth, oh green—
Seep into my vessels,
My veins.
Fill my lungs with your palpable nutrients,
And feed my awakening soul
the food of the soul,
of the earth,
of god.

In our darkest days,
may we remember to pay attention
To the life about to burst.—
To the morning where all the gray muck becomes a bright neon.
May we be awakened by surprises from the forest,
from our friends.

Gather in that sacred light and dew,
I will too.

———————-

I wrote this little poem this morning while contemplating the feeling I had from seeing green for the first time this year here up north just a few days ago.

I’ve been feeling the need to move stagnant energy, grow, organize, recalibrate, and ground down.

My meditation practice has been so key in me seeing my life from the outside, and helps me prioritize the things that are looked at as extra, but are actually the life force that helps me to navigate this world with grace.

I challenge you to make sure you do at least one thing today that supports you in your joy, your balance, your peace.

What is it for you?

Meditation and a walk outside is it for me. Afterwards, I feel wonderful and ready for what the day brings.

Let’s practice paying attention.
Attention to the beauty.
Attention to the change of the season.
Attention to those that we love.
